CC-leepless in Seattle

We took a drive into the city one sleepless Saturday night to try out some long exposure photography.

After wandering around a bit we ended up on the W. Thomas St. Overpass above Elliot Ave. looking South towards the city. A train passes by just in time.

We were also inspired to get updated shots of our Volkswagen CC. It’s been “neglected” and an old friend on IG reminded us that we had more than just 4Runner photos to post! :D  And while we did post this thing up for sale, we haven’t actively been seeking a new buyer as it’s still a blast to drive and maintains amazing gas mileage as a daily driver.  (It’s still for sale though so let us know if you’re interested – price has been reduced.)

Seattle is losing the iconic viaduct for which its waterfront has been known for.  A few weeks from now they begin demolishing the lifeline that once was our route into the city from West Seattle.  Our regular weekend routine years later would often lead us across the double-decker concrete highway and soak in that amazing view of Elliot Bay.  It will be missed!

One final stop was made on Western Ave. just below Pike Place Market before it was decided we should finally head home to get some sleep. This was fun! Will do again.
