We are not done with road trips in 2025! We racked up another 1952 miles taking a drive to the San Ramon area for a family reunion and 90th birthday celebration. This time we opted to take the 4Runner. After having to limit luggage and gear on our cross country trip in the 911 we almost wanted to take everything including the kitchen sink on this short trip to California.
On the way down, the obligatory stop to take in Mt. Shasta whose presence really makes itself known once you round that one corner. Those of you who make the drive down I-5 will know the one. We had a great time with family and enjoyed some amazing NorCal Fall weather. On our way home, we chose to cruise back through San Francisco and after a short visit and hike in Mill Valley with Jamie’s brother we elected to take the coastal road home.
The Pacific Coast Highway, the Redwooods, then finally the Oregon Coast all had spectacular views and some amazing roads for us to travel along. Another bucket list drive checked off the list!
