A very difficult decision was made. We were trying to justify the addition of the M5 to the fleet, not from a financial perspective, but more from a parking point of view. We aren’t ready to kick the 4Runner out of the garage. The CC was already kicked out and assigned driveway parking a few years back and our weekend warrior is still too new for us to do the same. (The CC is so much easier to maintain while exposed to the elements.) If the M5 was coming in, the only other option then would be to send the Golf out. But no way in hell does that mean park outside. Someone we know still saw the value of our little Golf project and made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. So, we very reluctantly sold the Golf to our very good and very local friend Russ, who promised to keep us updated and let us see it when we wanted… and with the promise we’d buy it back the second he was done with it.

We cried.
